Marina Solar

My name is Marina, and I was born and breed in Madrid. I’ve been taking pictures since I was 17, studying two higher national diplomas, both related to photography and video. When I became 23, I decided to move to Edinburgh and joined the photographic group of Samhuinn, (an international festival which marks the transition from Winter to Summer), and Korrika Scotland, (a basque exhibition race and after-party). My photographs picture anonymous people in the streets, always trying to capture them as naturally as possible. Due to UK circumstances through the pandemic crisis, we┬┤re allowed to have 1 hour of exercise in the outside, moments which I use to document the situation in Edinburgh. This city lives thanks to the huge amount of people it gets every summer during the festival season, including the Fringe, which is the largest arts festival in the world. This year, they are not going to take place, threatening the incomes of thousands of families. Web: Email:
