Fátima Martínez

Fátima Martínez is a journalist and journalism teacher for 17 years, PhD in Journalism from Universidad Complutense de Madrid since 2014. In the last five years, she studies documentary photography, combining it with the use of social networks. She loves photography, poetry and travels around the world. She lived in USA (Autin, Texas, 2011-2012), in the United Kingdom (London, 2015) and in Colombia (based in Bogota from 2017 to present). She made stays in different countries such as Greece, where she documented part of the refugee crisis in 2016 in Lesbos Island and on the border of Idomeni, or Kenya, where she traveled around the country taking pictures for two months. Currently, she is a Professor of Journalism at the Universidad del Rosario in Bogota (Colombia) and she runs as a director a university digital media called PlazaCapital.co.
